Payroll Cards

This service allows you to expand your business’ Direct Deposit program to all employees, including those who do not have, or cannot obtain an account at a financial institution. Our Payroll Cards allow you to deposit funds directly onto your choice of a STAR® Card or a VISA® branded card via your current Direct Deposit process.

Using the Payroll Card, employees can:

• Make Point-of-sale (POS) purchases using a PIN number, or anywhere VISA is accepted using the VISA® branded card.
• Withdraw funds from their card from any ATM bearing the STAR® or VISA® logo worldwide.
• Cash a TransCheck® at any Emprise Bank branch (no additional fee)
• Transfer funds via electronic funds transfer to a bank account of their choosing.
• Verify balances online or by telephone 24 hours a day.

How it works

Emprise Bank provides employers with a preset number of instant issue STAR® Cards. The employer provides any employee with a card and uses the associated account and routing information to deposit funds on the card, using the same method the employer is already using for Direct Deposit. Cardholders receive their pay at the same time that an employee with an account would. Funds can be withdrawn using any of the methods above.
