Emprise Bank announced that Coleen Tabor has joined the bank’s executive team as EVP, Human Resources. In this role, Tabor will lead the human resources and training groups, with an emphasis on talent development across the company.
Tabor comes to Emprise with a wealth of experience in a broad range of human resources roles. She has spent the past 12 years at Spirit AeroSystems in various positions, most recently as director of talent and diversity. Prior to her time at Spirit, she spent six years as senior human resources consultant at Allen, Gibbs, & Houlik.
“Coleen is a tremendous addition to our company,” said Emprise Bank Chairman and CEO Matt Michaelis. “She has extensive experience, a long list of professional achievements and, most importantly, a passion for employees.”
Michaelis continued, “Our people are our biggest asset, so continuing to provide them with meaningful opportunities for development is key to our culture and future success. Beyond her unmistakable talent in the human resources realm, we believe Coleen’s capabilities as an executive will have a significant effect on driving company growth. We’re excited about the impact she will make at Emprise.”
Tabor is a native Kansan, earning her BA from Wichita State University and her MBA from Webster University in St. Louis. She is a champion for diversity and a leader in the community, serving as a hands-on volunteer, speaking at many events, and sitting on the boards of the Governor’s Education Council, The Pando Initiative, and Rise Up for Youth.
The addition of Tabor marks the second expansion of Emprise’s executive team in 2018. In June, Emprise asked Jim Faith to lead a newly created business development division and hired Gil Trout to manage the commercial banking division.
