Heartspring's 14th annual PedalFest took place on Saturday, August 26, to benefit Heartspring Pediatric Services and children with special needs. More than 600 cyclists geared up to give back, raising more than $104,800! The proceeds raised at PedalFest are awarded to the ever-deserving children at Heartsping for financial assistance to receive free and reduced fee services at Heartspring.

Emprise empowerment impacted every part of PedalFest, from being presenting sponsor to riding, volunteering, and fundraising. The Emprise Riders raised $11,157 to put them at the top of the team fundraising leaderboard, and with Emprise's company match of $500 for every $2,500 raised made the grand total $13,157! Emprise Bank's Monte Shaw (aka Mr. PedalFest) raised $5,175 to be the top individual fundraiser!

About PedalFest

PedalFest is an annual fundraising bike ride with a route for every level of cyclist including a 100K, 50K, 25K, 5K Family Ride and NEW this year was a 60K gravel ride! All rides start and end at Heartspring’s campus in east Wichita. Each route is fully-supported with SAG (Support and Gear) Stops, so riders can stop to refuel and rehydrate while on their ride. After the ride, every participant is invited back to Heartspring for the “Post Ride Celebration” to enjoy a complimentary lunch, to visit with local vendors, and to kick back in the beer garden.

Support of the Heartspring PedalFest bike ride is key in ensuring local children with special needs are given the opportunity to receive the therapies and services they need to lead a more independent life. Read More
